Hold onto your hats, because this one’s a doozy! Our favorite Spider-Man just took a swing at friendship, thinking he could casually slide into the DMs of soccer superstar Erling Haaland during the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix. Adorable, right? Well, plot twist: it seems the icon in question didn’t even give him the courtesy of a reply. Yep, you heard that correctly—Holland got totally ghosted! Yikes.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (where all the juiciest gossip spills out), Tom spilled the beans about this epic fail, saying, "I’ll text him, I'll take him to dinner... not even a response. Not an excuse, not, ‘I’m busy tonight, I’m playing football.' Nothing. Just crickets." OOF, can you imagine? Getting left on read is one thing, but not even a polite “Thanks, but no thanks?” Rude.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more cringe-worthy, Holland also couldn’t help but sing Haaland’s praises, calling him an "absolute legend." So, what’s next?
