Apparently, this World Cup is the biggest sporting event in history. Three host nations, sixteen cities, forty-eight teams, and a staggering six billion viewers? Sounds like a lot. Naturally, when big events happen, so do even bigger auctions. Guess who’s playing auctioneer? Yep, Christie's. Starting July 22, you can bid on a variety of stuff. Like signed jerseys, game balls, and oh yes, Shakira's outfit from her groundbreaking halftime performance. Yawn.

One of the hot items is a team-signed USA jersey. Adorable. But prepare your bank accounts, because prices are expected to skyrocket like they're in a Messi highlight reel. And speaking of which, there’s also a jersey signed by the GOAT himself—Messi. Apparently, he’s still got it. But wait, there's more! Shakira’s costume from her “Dai Dai” video is joining the auction lineup too.

Proceeds are going to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which hopes to raise $100 million for education and sports for underserved kiddos. Good for them, I guess. If you’re not keeping your eyes peeled for this auction, you might miss out on these ‘totally essential’ items, which are likely to vanish faster than, you guessed it, Mbappe on a breakaway. Good luck with that! You can check out the auction here.
