Rebecca Adlington's Emotional Breakdown Over Daughter's School Graduation (and We Can't Look Away)

Well, well, well, it seems a certain Olympic swimmer has taken her dramatic flair to a whole new level. Sources say Rebecca Adlington has been crying for a week straight because her darling daughter, Summer, is making the leap from primary school. Can we just take a moment? The child is 11! What’s next, a sob-fest over middle school? Yikes.
In a tear-stained Instagram post (perhaps with a sprinkle of artistic license), our favorite aquatic diva reminded us all to check in on other parents facing similar life-altering events. "They are not ok," she declared, and can we really blame her? She shared a nostalgic montage of Summer’s first and last day of primary school, chronicling their journey through a pandemic, a move, and—wait for it—two new siblings.
In her Oscar-worthy soliloquy, she lamented, "I cannot believe my baby girl is leaving primary school... so much has happened over the past seven years." Sweetheart, it's not like Summer is off to the Olympics or anything! Maybe let’s dial down the melodrama, yes? Back in March, she was also busy clapping back at those mom-shamers who thought motherhood should eclipse self-care. Perish the thought—because a girl has needs too.
