Sporty Spice Ties the Knot at a Posh Venue (Shocking, Right?)

Well, well, well, look who’s trading in the tracksuit for a wedding dress. Yep, it’s our favorite Spice Girl, Melanie Chisholm, getting hitched to her Australian model beau, Chris Dingwall. They’ve chosen a venue with a name that screams fancy—Country House Cumbria. Sounds very highbrow, doesn't it? Apparently, this hidden treasure is co-owned by some West End actor who once shared the stage with her in Jesus Christ Superstar—how quaint, indeed.
The couple wanted an intimate celebration, which is all the rage in 2023. A few Spice Girls will be in attendance—Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Geri Halliwell-Horner, just a cozy little gathering. Even the Beckhams got invites, but they’re too busy playing soccer across the pond for the World Cup. Priorities, right?
Sources say Mel’s aiming for something small and classy, because let’s be real, a big, flashy wedding isn’t exactly her aesthetic. Remember when she swore she’d never get married? And yet, here we are—maybe she just wanted to show off the gorgeous venue, which boasts six whole rooms and a sprawling lawn for her guests to pretend they’re not at a low-key wedding. Tucked away in the Cumbrian countryside, it sounds about as rustic chic as it gets.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, even though Vic can’t make it, she’s definitely sending Mel a beautiful present. How heartwarming—sort of.
