Amanda Holden Defends Her Nepo Baby (Because of Course She Does)

Well, look who decided to wade into the nepotism debate — Amanda Holden is here, ready to defend her daughter Lexi, who’s about to dive headfirst into modeling. Lexi, at 20, is signed with Storm Management and gearing up for a catwalk debut at London Fashion Week in 2024. Time’s a-ticking, huh?
In a recent chat with the Daily Mail, Amanda took a swing at the whole nepo baby fiasco, claiming it’s just natural for parents to give their kids a little push. I mean, who doesn’t want to pull a few strings for their offspring? But don’t get it twisted; she insists being the child of a certain British TV star doesn’t guarantee a smooth ride to fame. Apparently, the struggle to secure a career is still very real.
She put it famously: “Being someone’s kid is not going to secure work, make a living for you and longevity in whatever career.” Sure, those connections might open a door (lucky her), but after that? It’s all on you, darling.
And don’t even get her started on the radio industry. Amanda claims she’s helping kids at Global Radio get their start because she just loves giving back. Apparently, any kid she knows could ride her success train, which is, uh, very generous of her. But she’s not a fan of the nepo baby label, suggesting that it can actually be harder having a famous parent.
