A Certain Wnba Player is Still Stuck on Her Trans Athlete Rant (and We're Over It)

In the latest saga of How to Alienate a Whole Community, a certain WNBA player is doubling down on her oh-so-controversial take about trans athletes in women’s sports. Apparently, it’s just common sense to her—if your idea of common sense is questionable at best. The Indiana Fever guard recently chatted with ESPN, where she thought it was the perfect moment to wax poetic about protecting young girls in the locker room from their competitors—who, newsflash, are just trying to play. Yawn.
When pressed by the media, our fave hot mess declared, “I said what I said.” Wow, groundbreakingly original. She claims she isn’t political—right, whatever—but insists she has morals (that’s debatable) and will always stay true to them. It’s cute how she thinks anyone cares about her feelings on this whole issue. She adds that she doesn’t hate anyone and believes in space for everyone, but let’s keep it real; her vibes scream not really down for that.
Sure, loving biological women is sweet and all, but this conversation is way more nuanced than she’s letting on. But hey, good for her for standing firm in beliefs that feel a little out of touch. Who knew locker room politics could be this tiresome?
As for her? She’s made her bed, so she might as well get cozy.
