NYPD Deputy Chief Turns Madison Square Garden Into a Taylor Swift Sing-Along (Why Not?)

Well, this is a new level of chaos. Madison Square Garden is hosting the wedding of a certain pop princess and her NFL beau (oh hey, Travis), and the NYPD just upped the ante. Deputy Patrol Chief Timothy Beaudette has reportedly decided that the best way to handle the chaotic crowd outside is to belt out Taylor Swift lyrics through a megaphone. Because, obviously, that’s how you manage a wedding security detail.
Sources say there’s a ridiculous amount of security on duty—over 70 detectives from all over, clocking in at $80 to $90 an hour. Not too shabby, right? And let’s not forget the over 50 rookie officers trying to make sense of this wild scene. They’re getting around $70 an hour, which is cute, but let’s be real—no one’s here for the paycheck. They’re all just one selfie away from a certain superstar and probably dreaming about it.
In what universe did “Taylor Swift wedding security” become a thing? But hey, at least someone’s having fun amid the madness. Cheers to that, I guess!
