Prince Andrew's Interview Was a Trainwreck (and He Might Not Be Done Yet)

Grab your tinfoil hats, because Prince Andrew has outdone himself with yet another spectacularly awkward attempt at damage control. The Royal Family’s motto of ‘Never Complain, Never Explain’ seems to have turned into ‘Never Make It Worse’ for our favorite royal disaster. Seriously, can someone send this guy a competent PR team?
During his hour-long cringe-fest on the BBC, our regal misfit thought he could finally silence the whispers about his allegedly cozy ties with a certain notorious, deceased figure we’re all too familiar with. Instead, he managed to turn the volume up on the gossip, like he was making a playlist for a party nobody wants to attend. And can we just talk about the Pizza Express birthday party anecdote? Who thought that would help? Newsflash: we weren’t clamoring for gourmet pizza tales, darling.
Then there’s the absolute gem of him claiming he hasn’t been able to sweat for 30 years (excuse me, what?). As if that wasn’t enough, he attempted to spin a conspiracy around a doctored photo featuring him and one of his accusers, which honestly just made it all the more bizarre. Watching that interview felt like witnessing a slow-motion car crash — you want to look away, but you just can’t.
Critics are calling this interview ‘reputational suicide’ (yikes), and it leaves one wondering what on Earth he was thinking. Now, sources say he’s considering doing it all over again?! Really? As if the first round didn’t leave enough scars. Here’s a thought, Andrew: next time, maybe channel a certain pop star who knows how to handle the press and prepare a little better. Or better yet, just stick to the royal motto — some things are better left unsaid.
