Is it just me, or is the political world blending dangerously into sports territory? Apparently, the loudest former president is diving headfirst into the chaos surrounding a certain red card incident that’s shaking up the soccer universe. Yes, I’m talking about the infamous Folarin Balogun red card during the recent U.S. vs. Bosnia match. And guess who’s allegedly in the middle of it all? That’s right, the big guy himself.

In a twist that nobody saw coming (or maybe we all did), Trump has denied any direct involvement with FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding the controversial red card. He claims he didn’t order Infantino to reverse anything—how generous of him, right? But hold up—Infantino casually admitted they chat about World Cup shenanigans, which raises a whole lot of questions. Are they just two pals discussing their respective power plays, or is there something more sinister at work?

The plot thickens, as fans are eyeing this spectacle with raised eyebrows, feeling like Trump is the overzealous coach on the sidelines, trying to influence the game he knows nothing about. Just when you think it can’t get juicier, Belgium swoops in with a last-minute appeal to FIFA, trying to overturn Balogun's red card. Talk about stirring the pot!

With the World Cup turning into a pressure cooker of tension, I can’t shake the feeling that Trump is angling for more than just a good headline. His love for the limelight is well-documented, and what better way to keep himself relevant than by jumping into a controversy that has nothing to do with him?

Is this really about soccer, or is it another attempt to solidify his own dubious legacy? Keep those tinfoil hats on, folks; this saga is just getting started.
