Well, here we go again. The 78th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are shambling towards us like a tired old cliché. This year’s hosts are Jeff Hiller from that thing called Somebody Somewhere and Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear. Apparently, they have lives outside of breathing. The nominations dropped on a Wednesday morning, showcasing shows that are allegedly interesting, like The Pitt, Hacks, and yes, The Bear. Guess who else is in the mix? Steve Carell, Chase Infiniti, and the ever-dramatic Zendaya. Now, hold onto your seats—Zendaya snagged a nomination for Euphoria, but surprise, it’s not in the Best Drama Series category. Classic. This whole circus culminates on September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in LA, where Law & Order: SVU queen Mariska Hargitay will host the snoozefest. Here’s hoping she can keep our eyes open while raising all the eyebrows. Good luck to all the nominees, but let’s be real—they’re not gonna need it.
