Tom Holland’s Apology to His Historian Doppelgänger (This is a Thing?)

In case you missed it, a certain Spider-Man star recently found himself in a bit of a name-related pickle with a historian—also named Tom Holland. Yep, you heard that right. Both Toms sat down for a podcast episode on The Rest is History to hash out who gets to claim the title of the 'real' Tom Holland. Spoiler alert: it’s definitely not the one who swings through cities in spandex.
The whole thing turned into quite the spectacle over seating arrangements—who knew sharing a name could lead to such melodrama? The historian quipped about how the actor's fame would mess with his ability to self-Google. Like, who even self-Googles? But our historian friend claims he doesn’t bother, which honestly, is just peak self-awareness.
As for what’s next for our friendly neighborhood actor, he’ll be showing off his range in The Odyssey as Telemachus. Yeah, because after battling aliens and supervillains, it makes total sense to dive into ancient Greek drama. Clearly, he’s aiming for that Renaissance man title, but come on, pick a lane, buddy.
