Guess who’s back throwing shade? Yep, it’s Damon Dash, and this time he’s not holding back on Jay-Z’s recent extravaganza at Yankee Stadium. Let’s be honest, the whole thing felt less like a celebration of HOV’s 30 years in music and more like an extended infomercial for Yankees merch. It’s like, congratulations, you’ve just turned your concert into a merchandising bonanza. Dash, speaking on 'The Art of Dialogue', bluntly claimed, 'This is just a glorified ad for Yankees gear!'

Merch? Seriously? Nothing screams rockstar like a sea of branded jerseys and caps. I mean, come on—who thought slapping logos on everything would distract from the actual music? Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. And those crowd shots? A little too perfect, right? Were they paid to be there?

And let’s not forget that cinematic masterpiece where Beyoncé allegedly shaves Jay’s head before he takes the stage. Total cringe. Dash described it as “forced and fake,” which is generous. Can you even imagine your partner giving you a haircut in front of thousands? Romantic? Not even close. Just plain weird.

In the end, Dash wasn’t there just to reminisce; he wanted something with actual substance. But hey, if the goal was to sell tickets and Yankees gear, then congrats, Jay-Z, mission accomplished. Who knew a concert could double as a shopping spree?
