Imagine this: you’re settled in for what’s supposed to be the epic World Cup Final, and instead of thrilling sports action, you’re treated to a 25-minute halftime show that feels like a fever dream. Enter Justin Bieber, Madonna, and The Muppets (yes, those Muppets) in a bizarre spectacle that has British viewers collectively losing their minds—like, seriously losing it.

While the world was glued to Spain's gripping 1-0 victory over Argentina (classic edge-of-your-seat stuff), we were subjected to what can only be described as a complete mockery of football. The internet? It exploded. Apparently, someone thought swapping a quick halftime breather for a Super Bowl-style circus would be fun. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.

Social media was lit with comments like, ‘Bring back Bruce Forsyth at the 1974 FA Cup Final’ and ‘I just want to watch football, not this mess’. Fans are now calling for a merciless ban on future halftime shows—2026 is looking bleak.

One poor soul even pondered, ‘I come back in the room and this is still going on? Wtf?’ Yeah, buddy, same. Another added, ‘This halftime show is an abomination!’ As if we didn't already know.

There you have it, folks. The World Cup Final halftime has transformed into a circus we never asked for, courtesy of America. Good job, team.
