Harry Styles Gets Sentimental at Wembley (but is Anyone Really Surprised?)

Harry Styles just pulled a classic move at his final Wembley concert. During the show that could be described as a meh moment for non-Directioners, he decided to get all misty-eyed over his old bandmates from that boy band you might have heard of—One Direction. Thrilling, right? He allegedly told the crowd, “I wouldn’t be on this stage if it wasn’t for four friends of mine,” because nothing says ‘humility’ like a scripted shout-out.
As he danced around on stage, he didn’t miss a beat naming Niall, Louis, Zayn, and—drumroll, please—his dear friend Liam. Groundbreaking stuff. Styles was practically swimming in nostalgia, waxing poetic about their journey, which we all know was more about the cash than the camaraderie. Meanwhile, his sister Gemma popped on stage to shower him with praise, adding an extra layer of ew to the whole ordeal.
And in case you were wondering, he’s apparently outperformed Coldplay and his ex—yeah, you guessed it, that Taylor Swift—by breaking some record at Wembley. Shocking. Directioners are, predictably, losing their minds over this heartfelt moment. But really, it only took a few cringy lines to send them spiraling into nostalgia. What a time to be alive.
