In the ever-dramatic world of fighting, a familiar troublemaker is allegedly eyeing a rematch with a certain boxing legend. Yep, it’s The Notorious himself kicking up the dust again and expressing interest in a round two with Floyd Mayweather. Shocking, right? He even told some dude named Babcock, "Yeah, for sure I'm interested in a rematch," as if we haven't heard that one before.

But wait, it gets better. McGregor threw out some bizarre imagery, saying, "I'm like this with Floyd. I'm like this with little Floyd." Little Floyd? Is this the new nickname we’re all supposed to adopt? Because nothing screams intimidation like a diminutive moniker.

Flashback to their iconic showdown in August 2017, when they staged the “Money Fight.” Spoiler alert: McGregor's stamina tanked faster than my interest in this whole saga, and Mayweather walked away with the TKO while raking in hundreds of millions. No big deal. So, can this sequel match bring in similar bucks? Probably not. After all, how much excitement can one non-fighter generate? But hey, if there’s drama to be had, we all know cents make dollars, darling.

Before any of that mess unfolds, McGregor will be back in the Octagon for a rematch against Max Holloway at UFC 329. Not Floyd. That would make sense. Remember, McGregor last faced Holloway in 2013 and won, but that was eons ago. Holloway has been busy, while McGregor has been, well, nursing a leg that shattered in July 2021. Who’s surprised?

Keep your eyes peeled because this saga might get a sequel — or it might just fizzle out like last week’s leftovers.
