Jennifer Aniston Allegedly Bails on Jennette Mccurdy’s Show (and Chaos Ensues)

Did you catch the latest on our favorite chaos agent, Jennifer Aniston? Well, apparently she’s decided to peace out from the TV adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s tell-all memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. The title alone is the kind of thing that makes you go, “Yikes.” Sources say the show is still crawling along with scripts being typed up, but let’s not kid ourselves; it’s a mess.
Why did she back out? Oh, just good old-fashioned scheduling conflicts. Classic Hollywood. This project has been on shaky ground since it was announced last summer, and surprise, surprise, it almost totally fell apart back then too. Aniston was slated to be both an executive producer and star as a fictional version of Jennette's mom—bold move, for sure.
But wait, there’s more! Director Jason Reitman allegedly dropped out because Jennette was all, “No thanks,” to his attempts at turning this serious memoir into a comedy. Because, remember, the source material isn’t exactly a laugh riot. Now with Jennifer jumping ship, we have to wonder: can this project catch a break? Maybe it’s a sign some stories are better left in the past. Just a thought.
This one’s shaping up to be a train wreck of epic proportions, and I’m so here for it. Buckle up, folks! <TMZ reports>
