Johnny Depp's Comic-Con Scrooge Appearance is Peak Depp (and We’re Not Surprised)

Brace yourselves, because Johnny Depp just strolled into Comic-Con dressed as Ebenezer Scrooge. Yep, the chaos agent himself decided to grace us with his grumpy Victorian vibes, bellowing a dramatic “Humbug!” like he was going for an Oscar or something. Newsflash: it didn’t work.
Decked out in a full Scrooge ensemble—top hat, long coat, fingerless gloves, and that oh-so-iconic cane—he looked less like a festive spirit and more like he was here to collect debts. Seriously, was he trying to remind us that the holidays suck or just flaunting his alleged inability to smile?
After glaring at fans and mumbling enough to make us question if he was actually alive, he darted back inside quicker than you can say “Bah, humbug!” You’d think he was auditioning for the role of Most Disinterested Celebrity rather than promoting his upcoming flick.
This little charade was for ‘Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol,’ hitting theaters on November 13. It's his first major Hollywood role since whatever mess we tried to forget back in 2023. He might be back in Tinseltown, but don’t expect him to toss cash around like he’s in a giving mood. Classic Depp, right?
