Alright, let’s get straight to it: Ice-T is officially back on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Shocking, right? After a season 27 slumber that no one was awake for, he's about to grace our screens in every single episode of season 28. Like a bad penny, he’s resurfacing when you least expect it, and we can’t say we’re surprised.
In a recent chat with podcaster Towanda Robinson on the TMZ Podcast, Ice-T spilled the alleged reasons behind his absence. Apparently, the producers were in dire need of some extra cash flow and decided to lure back the penultimate character, the one and only Amanda Rollins (you know, played by Kelli Giddish). Ice wasn’t exactly hurling shade, though. He showed remarkable chill, acknowledging that everyone wanted Kelli back. Besides, he had some time to cash in while the producers scrambled.
Now, the real kicker: he’s back in full throttle, teaming up with Mariska Hargitay and the whole crew to tackle New York’s worst week in and week out. Just what the world needed — more Ice-T, living rent-free in our TVs.
Oh, and let’s not forget he also dished a bit about his wife, Coco Austin’s, social media shenanigans and his latest venture, the OG Network. Because who doesn’t want a little more Ice-T in their life?
You ready for this rollercoaster of detective drama? Buckle up.
